…and I have been thinking about it ever since.
What is it? At the time I didn’t have an answer. I jokingly told him it is when someone gets on your nerves, but you still can’t not stop talking to them.
And that is part of it. But we all know there is much more to it than that.
Love is a small word that encompasses great power. Love consists of Giving. You must share with those whom you love, share yourself, thoughts, things you have, share any and everything. Love consists of Humility. You must know when to give in. You do not have to battle with those you love, for you should both be for the best interest of each other. Love includes Trust. This is a part of that giving. You must trust that those whom you love will reciprocate the love that you have put forth. But most importantly I believe love is greatest when it is unconditional. You should love in the interest of just spreading joy and peace. You should love others even if it means not getting exactly what you give, for when you do so, it not only brings happiness to the receivers of your love, but it also creates stability and a inner-peace for you the giver.
I’m not sure if this is all of it. But this what comes to mind.
the night is young & so am i
the day is beautiful & so am i
the wind is strong & so are you
our Ancestors were wise & so We shall be
(maybe i’ll finish this one of these days)
